Frequently Asked Questions about the nursery
We love it when you have questions… and most times, we have answers!
This is a great place to start to get some of your burning questions answered about the nursery and our offerings.
I need someone to do my landscaping.. can you help me?
We are not taking any new clients for landscaping jobs at this time. We do install trees and shrubs that we purchased from our nursery, please inquire by calling 641-357-7495.
Will you come to my yard and give me suggestions on what to plant?
We are not currently doing house visits, but we LOVE giving you suggestions on what to plant.
The solution?? You gather the needed information and bring it to the nursery, and we help you find the perfect plants for your space!
We encourage you to take pictures and measurements of the area you are hoping to fill with beautiful plants.
And don’t forget to download the free Guide to Being Your Own Landscape Designer —it asks you the exact questions you need to get started (and the same questions we will ask you when you get here!)
Bring all the information you’ve gathered into the nursery, and one of our knowledgable (and good looking) staff will help you pick out exactly what you need!

Who owns Natural plus Nursery?
Dave and Mary Hopper are the owners and operators of the nursery. Along with their two children they live in the farm house located just up the hill from the nursery.
When you are visiting, please drive slowly, as they are often outside playing!
And make sure you stop to pet Pearl Cat and Lena Bear (the yellow lab).
You can read more about the history of Natural Plus HERE.
I have a question about a plant. Can you help?
Yes!
We love answering your plant questions. We recommend you come out to the nursery so we can chat with you in person. During peak spring season we are flooded with calls, emails, and social media messages, and unfortunately with our limited staff, we are unable to respond to all messages.
You can find a lot of information on our BLOG.
We look forward to seeing you!
